Jettison Asthma In The Best Way Possible…!!!

Asthma is a chronic disease involving the lungs airways and is a very long term illness that has almost no cure. It makes the airways or bronchial tube inflamed and blocked leaving very little space for air to flow in and out of the lungs. Inflammation makes the airways very swollen and sensitive. The bronchial tube tends to get swollen when it reacts to something that prompts asthma. This prompt reaction can be caused by irritants in your surroundings. These irritants can be dust particles, pollen, mold spores and animal dander. When these irritant comes in contact with the patient through breathing it triggers the symptoms of asthma.

Symptoms of asthma are coughing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, wheezing, inflammation in lungs and sensitivity. An asthmatic person has to go through a lot. When a person is short of breath the person tends to go crazy just to grab one proper breath and for this breathe she could do everything possible. The person feels like banging her head against the wall or run out of the house to grab on that breath. Every 1 in 12 persons suffers from asthma i.e. about 25 million suffers from asthma, according to a survey. Almost 2, 50,000 die every year due to asthma.

There are mainly 6 types of asthmas. They are listed below :-

1. Allergic Asthma :–

It is the most common form of asthma. This type of asthma is triggered by inhaling allergens. An allergen can be totally harmless substance such as dust mites, mold, pollen or pet dander. If you are allergic to a particular substance then that allergen triggers a response starting in the immune system. These allergens then cause hurdles in the airways of the lungs making them swollen and inflamed. This results in coughing, wheezing and many other problems.

2. Non-allergic Asthma :–

This type of asthma is not the resultant of any kind of allergy. Upper respiratory infection such as cold, flu, or rhinovirus tends to be the primary reason for non-allergic asthma. Patients are prescribed a short course of inhaled contortionists for 10-14 days when symptoms like cold or flu starts developing.

3. Exercise Induced Asthma :–

This type of asthma is caused by physical exertion or sports. It causes coughing, difficulty in breathing and chest tightening. A typical treatment of inhaled bronco dilator medication is provided to a person suffering from this kind of asthma. It opens up the airways when taken 15 minutes before any physical exercise.

4. Cough Variant of Asthma :–

It is that variant of asthma which is characterized by dry hacking cough. It can be seen in adults as well as children and it can occur even when a person is asleep or awake. Studies show that people living in south suffers this asthma comparatively less as compared to the people in the north because of their exposure to the sun. Vitamin D plays an important role in diminishing this kind of asthma.

5. Aspirin Exacerbated Respiratory Disease (AERD) :–

This type of asthma is triggered by aspirin. Patients may have runny nose, nasal polyps, rhinitis, sneezing and history of aspirin sensitivity. When they take aspirin they develop stuffy nose and sneezing which leads to wheezing and difficulty in breathing.

6. Occupational Asthma :–

It is a lung disorder in which substances found in the workplace causes swelling in the airways of the lungs which further narrow them down. This is mainly because of the smoke inhaled at the workplace or when the irritants like chlorine is inhaled. This leads to the attacks of wheezing, chest tightening, shortness of breath and coughing.
